About Us

Since its formation in 1905, the SBGI has been the only trade association covering the whole of the onshore gas industry. In recent years its scope has extended to other parts of the other energy and utilities sector.

The SBGI has two organisational divisions - Utility Networks and the Heating and Hotwater Industry Council (HHIC). It also provides secretariat services to several other organisations within the energy and utilities sector.

The Secretariat is located in Kenilworth, where regular meetings are held for the different member groups within the SBGI. Members are kept up to date on relevant developments within the industry and are provided with a range of support services to help them develop their business in the UK and internationally.
