Job Description:
HETAS is looking for a Technical and Training Manager. The successful candidate will work both from our offices near Cheltenham and travelling to see stakeholders and clients across UK.

This person will have responsibility for the day to day running of our Installer Technical & Training business unit dealing with wood, biomass and solid fuel installation standards. The job holder will ensure that HETAS Training courses and installation standards are kept up to date and communicated effectively, also managing our network of training providers. The focus is on clean, safe and efficient use of biomass, wood and solid fuels. We are working with industry to promote low and zero carbon fuel and energy use and the utilisation of integrated systems.

Required Skills:
Candidates will have an understanding of key installation and installer technical issues such as appliance standards, training provision, flues and chimneys, fuels and the associated subjects such as linking of low carbon fuels and energy sources, SAP, Clean Air. Additional training and development can be given for the right candidate. The job holder will also have (or develop) a good understanding of Government Policy relating to wood, biomass and solid fuels in general.
